About It All

About the Blog:
Though we all are guilty of buying the massed produced, China imports, at the local ‘buy it all here’ stores. In the end I would much rather have handcrafted items. There is simply something more unique about knowing that it actually took thought and effort to get the end result. This is what I would like to focus on in this blog.

I know there are millions of blogs out there, and thousands that focus on DIY type of projects, but that’s never stopped anyone from making another. 😉 So this is my little niche to share what I enjoy, and hopefully you will too.

About Me:
Well this is the part of websites and/or blogs that I don’t like, hate in fact, I have to admit. How is one supposed to describe oneself without coming across as egotistical or bragging? *sighs* Here’s my shot at it anyway.

First, I like to think of myself as creative, open minded, outspoken, loyal, and honest. I love art, music, writing, and a bunch of other things. I’m a lover of old movie (think Danny Kaye and the likes) as well as old TV shows (think Star Trek, I Love Lucy, and so on). I’m a huge sci-fi, fiction, anime and fantasy fan. I had the biggest crush on Spock for many years (and secretly still do 😉 ). Love comic books and science. Nature and animals. Exploring and getting into trouble. The World is an amazingly awe-inspiring place and I intend to take as much of it in as I can.

I’m 30 years of age (at the time of this edit), unmarried but with a wonderful partner, no children, yet, and I stress the word yet. I was born and raised in Michigan, USA, but now live in the beautiful Whitsunday region of Queensland, Australia. My father is Australian, my mother American (though she has whole heartedly converted to the Aussie life). Less than two years ago, seventeen months to be more precise (at the time of this edit 😉 ), I came to Oz to visit my parents (both of whom live here permanently) and I decided to stay. It was the best move I’ve ever made. Although I do miss the snow!

Peace Be With You,

Chyina
